For the test of a tube sheet section, two test hoods are to be put at the same time onto the test
sections, which are opposite each other. For this purpose, test hoods of different sizes are
available . As a matter of principle, the test is started with test hood No. 1 or 2. After
having put on the test hood, the vacuum pump is to be switched on and the shut-off valve to
be opened. The test hoods are to be fixed by the testing personnel until the test hoods adhere
by themselves due to the negative pressure created.
