Half-Round Pipe Support Pad System

1. Minimizing Contact Points & No Metal-to-Metal Contact

Traditional pipe supports involve direct metal-to-metal contact where the weight of the pipe rests on an I-beam or clamp. This creates a tight crevice that holds moisture via capillary action.

  • The Solution: The half-round composite pads create a protective barrier. Because they are curved, they reduce the surface contact area to a minimum point, preventing moisture accumulation.

2. Eliminating Standing Water & Repelling Moisture

The bottom images show heavy rust precisely where water has pooled under the pipe.

  • The Solution: By lifting the pipe slightly and providing a non-porous, hydrophobic contact pad, standing water is eliminated. Moisture cannot stay trapped, dramatically reducing localized corrosion rates.

3. The Installation Method ("Rule Between in Half-Round Pad and Steel")

The top images demonstrate the installation toolkit: gray composite half-round rods, an adhesive dispensing gun, and a mixing nozzle.

  • The Solution: During installation, a structural, high-strength adhesive (injected via the gun) is applied between the half-round pad and the pipe/steel interface. The "rule" or technique ensures a uniform, controlled layer of adhesive that perfectly fills any gaps, preventing water from getting behind the pad while providing a permanent, high-load-bearing bond.
